PESTILENŢIÁL, -Ă, pestilenţiali, -e, adj. 1. Care are caracteristicile unei boli molipsitoare (ca pesta); care răspândeşte o boală molipsitoare (ca pesta); contagios. Boală pestilenţială. 2. fig. (Despre mirosuri) Urât, infect, scârbos, nesuferit, dezgustător; p. ext. (despre unele lucruri) care răspândeşte un astfel de miros. [pr.: -ţi-al] – Din fr. pestilentiel, germ. pestilenzialisch.
