gint (gínturi), s.n. – (înv.) Rasă, neam, naţiune. – Mr. g’intă. lat. gens (Puşcariu 722; Candrea-Dens., 747; REW 3735; DAR), cf. it., sp. gente, fr. gent. Este dublet al lui gintă, s.f. (rasă), latinism din sec. XIX, astăzi puţin folosit.
