fantazíe (fantazíi), s.f.1. Imaginaţie. – 2. Capriciu, chef. – 3. Joc ecvestru. – var. fantazie, (înv.) fandasie, fandaxie, fandacsie. Mr. făndăsie, făndăxire. gr. φαντασία, prin intermediul fr. fantaisie, şi înainte (sec. XVII) direct din ngr. (Gáldi 187). Fandaxia s-a specializat, în argoul de cartier, cu sensul de "manie, ţicneală, aiureală". Der. fandasios, adj. (ţicnit, maniac); fandosi, vb. refl. (a se îngîmfa; a face nazuri), din ngr. φαντάζομαι "a imagina" (DAR; Scriban; REW 6458; este improbabilă der. din ngr. ξεφαντόνω "a se distra", propusă de Graur, BL, IV, 79); fandoseală, s.f. (nazuri); fandaxi, vb. (Munt., a se lăuda), din ngr. φαντάζομαι, aorist φάνταξα (Scriban). – Der, neol. fantastic, adj., din lat. phantasticus (sec. XVII); fantasc, adj., din fr. phantasque, împrumut literar; fantast, s.m. (himeric, vizionar), din germ. Phantast, împrumut literar; fantasmă, s.f., din it. fantasma (sec.
