PROBABILÍSM s.n. 1. Doctrină filozofică potrivit căreia nu există propoziţii certe, orice enunţ având numai un oarecare grad de probabilitate (mai mult sau mai puţin probabil, plauzibil sau verosimil), neputându-se stabili cu certitudine în ce măsură este adevărat sau nu. 2. Sistem catolic de teologie morală potrivit căruia, atunci când există un conflict între o normă şi liberatate, o acţiune contra normei este permisă dacă are consensul unei persoane prudente. v. probabiliorism.
