PLÉTER, pletere, s.n. Gard pescăresc construit din stuf, din nuiele de alun ori de salcie şi instalat de-a lungul malurilor, în albia majoră a râurilor etc., pentru a opri trecerea peştelui dintr-o baltă într-un râu. – Din scr. pleter.

(reg.) 1. gard de stuf, nuiele de alun şi de salcie care opreşte ieşirea peştelui din baltă în râu. 2. împletitură de nuiele; leasă. 3. nuia de împletit garduri. 4. şnur sau panglică cu care îşi împletesc femeile cozile. 5. părul femeilor împletit în cozi. 6. (cu sens colectiv) crengile lăsate în jos la salcie sau mesteacăn.
