OSTRACODÉRM, ostracodermi, s.m. (La pl.) Subclasă de vertebrate fosile cu corpul plat sau în formă de fus, acoperit de plăci şi de solzi, care trăiau în mările paleozoice; (la sg.) animal care face parte din această subclasă. – Din fr. ostracodermes.
