ONOMÁSTIC, -Ă, onomastici, -ce, adj., s.f. 1. adj. Privitor la nume proprii, în special la nume de persoane. ♢ Zi onomastică (adesea substantivat, f.) = zi în care cineva îşi serbează numele; ziua numelui. 2. s.f. Disciplină lingvistică al cărei obiect de studiu este originea, formarea şi evoluţia numelor proprii. 3. s.f. Totalitatea numelor proprii dintr-o limbă, dintr-o regiune, dintr-o epocă etc. – Din fr. onomastique.
