ASCLEPIÁD, asclepiade, adj. (În sintagma) Vers asclepiad (şi substantivat, m.) = vers din metrica antică, alcătuit dintr-un spondeu (sau troheu), doi (sau trei) coriambi şi un iamb. [pr.: -pi-ad] – Din fr. asclépiade, lat. asclepiadeus.
