MĂRÁR s.m. Plantă erbacee aromatică din familia umbeliferelor, cu frunze filiforme şi cu flori galbene, întrebuinţată drept condiment (Anethum graveolens). ♢ expr. A se băga în vorbă ca mărarul în ciorbă sau (rar) a se amesteca ca mărarul în bucate = a participa nepoftit la o discuţie. – cf. alb. m ë r a j, ngr. m á r a t h r o n.
