(moscovit; rus; rus castrat aparţinînd sectei scopeţilor; vizitiu; arg., douăzeci de lei), din pol. moskal, de unde şi rus. moskalĭ; moschicesc. adj. (înv. moscovit); muscălesc, adj. (moscovit; rus; rău, ticălos); muscăleşte, adv. (pe ruseşte); muscălime, s.f. (mulţime de ruşi). Din rom. provine tc. musikar (Bogrea, Dacor., IV, 835).
