GRADIÉNT, gradienţi, s.m. Mărime care indică variaţia presiunii barometrice sau a temperaturii în anumite condiţii. [pr.: -di-ent] – Din fr. gradient.

GRADIÉNT s.m. Variaţie pe unitatea de lungime a unei mărimi scalare. ♦ Gradaţie de presiune barometrică, care se stabileşte între centrul şi marginile unui ciclon; numărul de grade cu care creşte temperatura pe verticală spre centrul Pământului. [pron. -di-ent, pl. -nţi, (s.n.) -nte. / < fr. gradient].
