ANAPÉST, anapeşti, s.m. (În versificaţia greco-latină) Unitate metrică formată din două silabe scurte urmate de una lungă; (în metrica modernă) unitate metrică alcătuită din două silabe neaccentuate urmate de una accentuată. – Din fr. anapeste, lat. anapaestus.
