diréc (-ci), s.m. – Stîlp, coloană, montant. tc. direk (Pascu, Arch. rom., VI, 231; Candrea), cf. sb., alb. direk "bîrnă". – Der. diricliu (var. direcliu, dereclie), s.m. (monedă turcească de argint, folosită la începutul sec. XIX, în valoare de 13 taleri şi 60 de parale; însă valoarea ei a scăzut progresiv), din tc. direkli "cu coloane", se pare dintr-o monedă sp. care reprezenta coloanele lui Hercule, bătută la 1764. cf. dric.
