agurá (-réz, -át), vb. – A prezice, a prevesti. lat. a(u)gŭrāre (Densusianu, rom., XXVIII, 61; Puşcariu 39; Candrea-Dens., 23; REW 784; DAR); cf. v. it. a(g)urare (lec. aúru, mil. ingürá, sard. aurá), prov. aurar, sp. agorar, port. agourar. Rar, Trans. de Vest. Mr. ugure, s.n. (profeţie), a fost interpretat de Pascu, I, 178, ca der. de la lat. augurium, ceea ce poate fi adevărat numai dacă se are în vedere complicata cale de transmitere a cuv.: lat. augurium a dat în ngr. γουρί, de unde tc. ogur, care este etimonul cuv. mr., cf. ursuz.
