CONTÁCT, contacte, s.n. 1. Atingere directă, nemijlocită între două corpuri, două forţe, două energii etc. ♢ expr. În contact cu... = în nemijlocită apropiere de..., în legătură strânsă cu... ♦ (concr.) Piesă care serveşte la stabilirea unui contact (1). ♢ Contact electric = legătură electrică între două piese sau elemente conductoare, realizată prin atingere. 2. Apropiere între oameni; relaţie, legătură. ♢ expr. A lua contact (cu cineva) = a) a stabili o legătură cu (cineva); b) (mil.) a ajunge în imediata apropiere a inamicului şi a începe primele lupte. – Din fr. contact, lat. contactus.
