CERÁMIC, -Ă, ceramici, -ce, s.f., adj. 1. s.f. Tehnica şi arta prelucrării argilelor, pentru a se obţine, prin omogenizarea amestecului plastic, modelarea, decorarea, smălţuirea, uscarea şi arderea lui, diverse obiecte. Obiect obţinut prin această tehnică. Material din care se obţin astfel de obiecte. 2. adj. (Despre obiecte sau materiale) Obţinut prin tehnica ceramicii (1); referitor la ceramică, de ceramică. – Din fr. céramique.
