BOOGIE-WOOGIE s.n. Stil pianistic în jaz, derivat din blues, care se caracterizează prin ritmul obsedant întreţinut de mâna stângă (prin executarea unor figuri de bas repetate fără intrerupere), în timp ce mâna dreaptă dezvoltă o linie melodică de obicei simplă. ♦ Dans modern american, care se dansează după muzica de jaz; melodia acestui dans.
