UNCIÁL, -Ă, unciale, adj. (În sintagmele) Scriere uncială = scriere cu litere majuscule derivate din literele romane capitale (şi deosebindu-se de acestea prin rotunjimea formelor). Caracter uncial = caracterul literelor din scrierea uncială. [pr.: -ci-al] – Din lat. uncialis, fr. oncial.
