TRIPÓD s.n. 1. (Ant.) Scaun de bronz cu trei picioare, frumos arcuite, pe care şedea sibila în timpul oracolelor din templul de la Delfi, închinat zeului Apolo. ♦ Trepied. 2. (mar.) Macara alcătuită din trei picioare reunite la partea de sus. [< fr. tripode].
