Termen care desemnează o categorie de orientări şi tendinţe metodologice şi epistemologice actuale, constând în a privi obiectele ca sisteme, ansambluri de elemente organizate, care pot fi recompuse şi transformate prin anumite procedee operaţionale. ♦ Curent în lingvistica contemporană care susţine principiul unităţii interne a structurii limbii şi priveşte limba ca pe un sistem de relaţii fonetice şi gramaticale care se condiţionează reciproc, dar o studiază independent de istoria poporului. 2.
