BERNSTEINÍSM s.n. Revizionism (2. d.); teorie lansată de Eduard Bernstein (Berlin, 06.01.1850 – Berlin, 18.12.1932), scriitor şi politician socialist. În 1887 intră în legatură cu f. Engels, la Londra. După 10 ani, declară că teoria socială marxistă trebuie supusă unei revizuiri, punând astfel bazele revizionismului. [-stei- pron. germ. -ştai-] (n. pr. BERNSTEINÍSM s.n. Curent revizionist reformist antimarxist în social-democraţia internaţională, apărut la sfârşitul sec XIX şi începutul sec. XX în Germania, care propaga revizuirea în spirit idealist a tezelor fundamentale ale socialismului ştiinţific, ale filozofiei şi ale economiei politice marxiste. v. revizionism, reformism.
