MOSCÁT, -Ă, moscaţi, -te, adj. Cu miros de mosc; parfumat cu mosc. ♢ Bou moscat = mamifer răspândit în Groenlanda şi în regiunile arctice ale Americii, intermediar între oi şi vitele cornute, asemănător cu boul, cu corpul acoperit cu păr des şi lung, a cărui carne miroase a mosc (2) (Ovibos moschatus). – Mosc + suf. -at.

MOSCÁT, -Ă adj. cu miros de mosc. o bou moscat = mamifer nordic care întruneşte caracteristicile berbecului şi cele ale boului: coarne scurte şi lăsate în jos, părul lung şi des, copita lată şi a cărui carne miroase a mosc. (< lat. /bos/ moschatus)
