lap interj. – Exprimă zgomotul produs de a lipăi sau zgomotul produs de două corpuri care se lipesc, cum ar fi solul şi piciorul gol sau mîna pălmuind o faţă. – var. leap, leop, lip, liop. Creaţie expresivă, cf. hap, fr. lapper. – Der. lăpăi, vb. (a se bălăci, a plescăi), cf. bg. lapam "a înghiţi"; lăpăit, s.n. (acţiunea de a bea cu zgomot); lapă, s.f. (turtit; prostit, zăpăcit, nătîng); leapşe, s.f. (palmă, scatoalcă; baba-oarba); leoapă, s.f. (scatoalcă); leopăi (var. liopăi, lipăi), vb.
