DUD, duzi, s.m. Numele a două specii de arbori cu frunzele lobate asimetric, cu fructe mici, cărnoase, albe (Morus alba) sau negre-roşietice (Morus nigra), cu un gust dulce fad, ale căror frunze constituie hrana viermilor de mătase; agud. – Din tc. dut.
