BOTÁNIC, -Ă, botanici, -ce, s.f., adj. 1. s.f. Ştiinţă care se ocupă cu studiul structurii şi dezvoltării plantelor, al originii şi evoluţiei lor etc. 2. adj. Care aparţine botanicii (1), care se referă la botanică. ♢ Grădină botanică = grădină în care sunt prezentate colecţii de plante vii, cultivate în condiţii naturale sau de seră. – Din fr. botanique.
