SIMULATÓR, simulatoare, s.n. 1. Sistem tehnic destinat rezolvării ecuaţiilor care caracterizează un anumit obiect sau fenomen. 2. Ansamblu de aparate şi dispozitive care simulează situaţiile posibile într-o activitate, folosit pentru antrenarea şi verificarea reacţiilor operatorilor umani. – Din fr. simulateur.

(mil.) aparat care reproduce o situaţie tactică, servind la instruirea personalului pe timpul aplicaţiilor. 3. aparat special pentru a facilita studiul condiţiilor de pilotaj al unui avion. ♢ dispozitiv identic cu cel al unui vehicul spaţial pentru antrenamentele astronauţilor. 4. program sau echipament (de calcul) capabil a reprezenta cu ajutorul unui ordinator funcţionarea unei maşini, a unui sistem sau fenomen.
