SESAMOÍD, -Ă, sesamoizi, -de, adj. Care seamănă cu un grăunte de susan. ♢ Oase sesamoide = oase mici, rotunjite, care se dezvoltă în mod normal în grosimea unor tendoane musculare, îndeosebi în dreptul articulaţiilor carpiene şi tarsiene. – Din fr. sésamoïde.
